About:
Advanced Style is a blog by Ari Seth Cohen and it focuses on the style of the older generation. This blog has gained a lot attention in the media world featuring in many newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times and The Guardian. It also has over 30,000 likes on Facebook and over 8,000 followers on Blogspot. Not only this, but from the blog has stemmed both a book and a documentary on advanced style, which gives further insight to the world of the older generation's style.

My Opinion:
I really really love this blog. I love how different it's direction is to most other fashion blogs; the combination of older generation's style and street style photography. Now days, in terms of fashion blogs, we mainly see a younger generation of fashion bloggers and style icons. I'm super happy I found this blog as during our street style brief we photographed a number of older people and I was stunned at how stylish they all were, including coordinated older couples. In terms of the look of the blog, I like this too as it features the simple white background that I love and simple black text. Again, this ensures that the entire focus is on the photographs and the amazing outfits of the people included on the blog. The blog includes a wide variety of styles and looks, which always makes it interesting to look at, as most of the looks are so unique and unexpected. This blog has also given me a whole new insight into the style of older people and how alive it still is, therefore this is a blog I will definitely continue to follow.

About:
Poppyloves.net is a London Lifestyle blog ran by Poppy. She has a 1,138 following on bloglovin and more followers via her option to subscribe via email. Poppy blogs about almost everything, including music, food, fashion, beauty, craft and well, as her blog name suggests, anything she loves. She has a really handy explore bar at the top, which has drop down lists for every category her blog covers so her viewers can easily find something they are looking for. She also has features like 'My Diary' so her followers can be up to date on what she is doing in other areas of her life that aren't covered in her existing categories. Again, a must for every blogger seems to be social media and networking sites. Poppy is a member of all platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. All of her platforms are linked together to create one cohesive personal brand for herself.

My Opinion:
Despite usually having a preference to white backgrounds, Poppy's light brown/beige toned background works really well with her blog. It almost has a vintage paper look to it and coupled with the dark green text and floral logo gives the blog a really earthy, natural feel to it. I love how much detail Poppy's blog goes into, she posts very regularly ensuring to keep her range of categories. Her photography is also spot on, the quality is super high, her framing and lighting is also very professional. The way she presents locations she's visited and activities she participated in is very appealing and for me makes me want to go there or do what she's done. I think this is a really talented skill to have, her blog is very inspirational. Again, lifestyle blogs aren't my go to type of blogs, which is why I picked it for this task. However, I really enjoyed reading this blog and will continue to follow it now as it has given me lots of inspiration for my own blogging and life.

3 Bloggers I've never heard of & my opinion on them | #1 Katelovesme.net

About:
Katelovesme.net is a blog run by Pelayo Diaz, it is ranked No.3 on Cision's top 20 fashion blog list. Diaz has been blogging since 2007 and has gained a high following throughout these years. Diaz currently lives in Paris however is originally from Spain and therefore his blog posts also include a Spanish text post as well as an English one. Diaz's blog features a range of posts from his own personal style through his outfits, to magazine posts where he photographs the magazine and then talks about it in his blog. Diaz has also been a feature in a number of big name magazines such as GQ, Harper's Bazaar and Nylon. Diaz is of course a member of all the important social networking sites such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. On these platforms alone he racks up a 227,273 following.

My Opinion:
I personally really like this blog for many reasons. Firstly, I am in love with the minimalistic design of the blog. The white background coupled with the blog images on top looks really sleek and clean. It also draws the eye more so to the images in the post, as a busy background could distract from them. In regards to the photography, I think it is very well done. The images are of a high quality and they range in the type of shots too. For example; Long shots, mid shots and close ups. Although the locations and outfits differ from post to post (which is another feature that's important) they all seem to coordinate seamlessly. The colour schemes all are very similar (on all of Diaz's platforms), which gives the blog a cohesive theme. Overall, I really like this blog, and it is a change for me to follow male fashion blogs therefore I think I will keep following katelovesme.net to get some more insight on current male fashion.
